My bike was locked up behind my house with a U-lock to a wooden railing attached to my porch. This is adjacent to the alleyway and the parking area for my building. I found this morning that the railing had been broken in some way (not sawed through) and my bike was missing. It could have happened overnight or this morning before noon.
RECOVERED:
On July 29 2010 the victim wrote: I just wanted to report that my bike (theft report #190116, Raleigh Cruiser) was recovered. I saw a guy riding it on the street (right in front of where it was stolen from) and confronted him. I'm not sure if he was the thief or not, but something tells me he was because it didn't take much to convince him to give it back to me. I don't know if this information is relevant to the registry or not, but I thought I would inform you in case it was. Thanks.
