Bike is 1 year old - bought it from Roscoe Village Bikes shop http://www.roscoevillagebikes.com/commuter.html
priced at $470 + tax
and used it to commute to work during the summer.
Well maintained - new tire on the rear wheel (mismatched tires)
Changed the men's bike seat for a Planet Bike Bike ARS
Added a Cat's Eye front light

Incident Description:
Left 3 bikes locked together and to bike racks in front of the
East side entrance to the Lincoln Park Zoo (bike racks accross the street - along the bike path).
Arrived around 3:00PM and got back at 5:30PM.
2 bikes (both in decent shape - working
* 1 Specialized mountain bike, female, small size and yellow frame, blue seat
* 1 KHS montain bike/ commuter bike, male, white & black frame, brand new rear tire (had it changed on the shop along the Lakefront bike path 15 min before), rusted handle bars
were still on the scene, lock cut.
The 'nicer' bike which was stolen was 'piled' underneath the 2 other ones.
