Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
Bike was in great condition. Had been recently converted from 10 speed to single speed. Had all aluminum wheel sets, handle bars and other components. All Nitto parts. Brand new Tektro Performance brakes for the front and back. Track bike handle bars with short black material grips with Tektro Brake levers on the inset part of the track handle bars.

Incident Description:
Bike was noticed stolen at 10:40 pm on January 12th, 2012. Bike lock had been cut and taken with the bike. Bike lock (Kryptonite Ubolt and Kryptonite Braided chain) were found less than a block away at 501 W Surf Street outside in the bushes. Video surveillance shows the individual walking the bike around the corner and throwing the bike locks into the bushes and keeps walking west on Surf. The individual was wearing a black coat, with grey hooded sweatshirt, as well as a stocking back. The man was approximately 5'10"-6' tall and looked to be of average build.
Tire tracks were traced westward to Broadway but then lost in the intersection. The individual cut the uBolt with a powered cutting device and had a messenger bag with him. The cut was clean and discolored darker towards the end of the cut. The plastic around the metal was melted as well.
