Recovery Information
Recovery Notes:
Victim saw bike listed on Craigslist on same day of theft, for sale in Chicago near Central and Fullerton. Listing was taken down same night. Victim saw bike listed next day in Lemont, made arrangements to get bike next morning, and went and picked it up. Seller allegedly paid $500 and was trying to sell for $690 OBO. Allegedly decided it was too big for him.
Victim had all documentation and threatened to call police. Seller gave bike up. Victim decided to give seller $50 reward money, and as she was getting it from her purse the seller's wife came out and screamed at her ("I'v got 4 kids" etc.) Victim had done some research and had information on original seller and tried to get Chicago police help prior to the second listing but was unsuccessful.
