Recovery Information
Recovery Notes:
On October 1st, the victim wrote: On september 29th I approached Damen CTA and saw my bike locked up underneath the CTA station. I called Chicago PD, who arrived and advised that I reclaim my bike by cutting off the lock. Despite having logged a report at the time of theft the police were unwilling to aid cutting off the lock due to the difficulty of assuring ownership. A passing locksmith then aided me using an angle grinder.
worth mentioning that the policeman actually drove me to sears to buy a lock and then back to the bike.
