How was the bike locked?:
Which type of area was your bike stolen from?:
Porch or yard.
How long was the bike locked in this location?:
Bike was stolen from 3rd floor back deck sometime between 2am and 9am Sunday. Front and back gate were locked. Bike would not have been visible from back alley, so the thief probably came looking for whatever could be stolen and didn't target the biked specifically. Another unlocked bike was not taken.
The victim found his bike listed for sale on craigslist, set up a viewing which occurred near 24th and Western, and was able to get 10th district police to "swoop in." The recovery occurred on Saturday May 10 2014. The victim reported that minor changes had been made to accessories. The seller had 14 bikes listed for sale on craigslist along with this one, generally of similar vintage/value to this one i.e. all under $200 in value.
