Basic Bike Info

Bicycle Type:
Hybrid Bike
Serial No.:
wsbc6020336049m
Size:
I'm 5'5", and it fits me. Normal?
Color:
Charcoal/Black
Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
It had a rack on the back where you could attach panniers, disc brakes, and rusty bell on the front with a cartoon dinosaur/dragon on it. I also had replaced the quick release wheel pins with an anti-theft mechanism, so, since I have the key, supposedly the wheels cannot be removed. It also had a water bottle holder, and I imagine it has a u-lock with a yellow head around the frame, since the lock wasn't clipped (as far as I can tell) – the bar it was locked to was pried off the fence. Also, it has a carbon fiber fork.

Incident Description

Which type of area was your bike stolen from?:
Alley or side passageway.
How long was the bike locked in this location?:
It had been in this location since last year, the last time I used it was a 11 days ago, I noticed it gone 1 day ago. I think I would have noticed if it was significantly earlier, but I'd say it was stolen sometime within 3 days of my discovering it gone.
Incident Description:
I noticed the bike gone around 1 in the afternoon. I had last used it about 10 days prior, but I believe it was probably taken sometime in the previous 3 days. The bike was kept on a wooden porch 1 story above the locked and gated back alley. The wooden slat of the rail that I had locked it to was pried off the rest of the fence, and there was a hole cut into the chain link fence abutting the alley of my building, leading into the alleys of several other buildings (also locked and gated alleys), that hadn't been there before. It appears that the thief entered through the hole he/she made in the fence, walked up the balcony to the first bike he/she saw (there are a number of bikes kept in the alley) pried the bar off the fence, and carried the bicycle out.
