Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was sitting on side of residence unlocked, but hidden. Owner sits near window normally to monitor bike. Thieves waited for owner to leave temporarily.

Unclear when it was stolen - sometime in the past week. It was in a locked garage.

Incident happened within the week of 6/18-6/28

I parked my bike near the corner of S Wabash Ave and E 11th St at 10AM on Monday, June 22nd. When I came back to get it around 8PM my bike was not there, my lock had been cut and was lying on the ground. It was a brand new bike, I bought it from Dick's Sporting Goods last week.

My son called from McDonald's at 2707 N. Milwaukee (Logan Square) telling me that his bike (bought new 3 weeks prior) had been stolen. He had locked the frame and front wheel to the bike rack and said he was inside for less than 5 min but came out and it was gone.

The Bike and lock were both stolen from the Garage. The bike was U-locked to itself.

Bike was parked in private tenant only garage. Stolen sometime between Sun 6/21 10pm and Tuesday 6/23 5pm. Likely somebody entered via garage door after a resident exited.

My bike was locked to a bike rack on Wells outside of Merchandise Mart from 12:00pm to 4:00pm today 06/23/2020. The lock was left cut at the scene as well as the cable.

All I know is that I parked my bike in my backyard (secure backyard with two deadbolt entrances) on the night of Sunday the 21st and was informed this afternoon (June 23rd) that my bike as well as my roommates bike was missing from the backyard.

I was doing yard work and had my garage door open. Went inside to feed my son lunch and the guy went into my garage and took it off the wall. Rode away with it.

Bike was left unlocked in our garage, and we likely forgot to close the garage door when we left around 9:30 AM. Didn't arrive home until 9:30 PM and found only my bike missing (partner's bike was still there, along with other semi-valuable belongings).

My family and I were in the backyard Father's Day morning - the garage to the alley was left open - as if often is (only when we're out there). We have two bikes, both of which hang up on the north end of my garage, in the corner near the alley. Someone walked down the alley, took the bike off the hook, and rode away.

I believe I locked it incorrectly although the lock was through frame and tire. Front tire and lock were still there when I saw it was stolen.

The bike was locked on the bike rack by Hubbard and LaSalle on June 19th 4pm. By 11PM, both bike and lock were completely gone. Please help to look out. It is not an expensive bike at all. The color and style is a rare find. Thank you in advance!

Bike was locked to another bike by the beach restaurant at Montrose beach. It was left there between 10:45 am and 11:30 am while I was at the beach.

The bike was locked inside a gate in the alley next to N Greenview Ave and W Grace. Someone came with bolt cutters and stole broke the cable, stealing my bike. The bike was locked with another bike of mine and then, another bike was next to it unlocked (not mine.) I think this happened around 6:30 as I believe my dog reacted to the sound.

I was by North Avenue goose island trail stopped to look at river, sat for a while turned around in 10 minutes it was gone.

I left my bike next to the Eugene Field Elementary building while I played soccer on the turf field 15 feet away. I played for 45 minutes and when I was ready to leave, my bike had been stolen. Some other players said that they heard someone talking about wanting my bike and apparently he rode off with it, but we had no luck contacting the supposed thief.

Locked bike outside of building ~7:20PM June 15, 2020. When I walked outside of the building at ~7:35AM June 16, 2020, it was gone. I think it was likely taken in the middle of the night, as I live in a downtown area.
