Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I parked my bike around 9:15pm on June 18 outside my residence on the car pad. I went into my home with the intention of opening the garage door from inside the home so that I could store the bike in the garage. Once inside, I stopped to do something and that led to something else and I eventually forgot about the bicycle. The next morning around 9am I was in the garage and noticed I didn't see the bike. I then remembered I forgot to store the bike from the provious night. I opended the garage door and the bike was not where I left it or anywhere in the vicinity.

I locked it on Clinton and Madison to go to Ogilvie Train station morning of Thursday 6/22. Got a ride home that day and went out of town for the weekend. Not worried because locked with Ulock and cable. Came back on Tuesday 6/27 after work to pick it up and it was gone with lock and cable gone. There was another Ulock sitting at bottom of rack where my bike was locked. Something faulty with rack??

Bike was stored in locked garage. I returned home Tuesday morning between 6:30 and 7:00 am and bike was present in garage. I locked the garage, went inside and showered before leaving for work. I left for work, exiting out the from of the building, not the garage, as I was taking public transportation. When I returned home, my wife went into the garage to get something out of her car and upon entry noticed that the garage door was open and the bike was missing. MY wife had not gone into the garage that day until that point. There are other tenants in our building that have access to the garage.

My neighbor texted me to say that someone had broken into the basement of our building which is where our storage units are and where several bicycles are stored. She asked me to check if I had anything missing and when I checked my bike was gone. Mine was the only bike that was locked and it was also the only bike that was taken even though they were other bikes down there that weren't even locked. It was the newest bike of all of them.

Bike was stored between metal folding gate and the door to the back room of the building where I work. The bike was dragged out from under the gate sometime while I was working.

Locked on the bike rack outside of Barns and Noble at Old Orchard Shopping Center. After two hours after arrival and lock of bike, the bike was missing. Police Report filed immediately after.

Bike was left locked on side of Ogilvie Train station overnight, on Tuesday June 27th, 2017. Front tire was left when owner arrived on Wednesday morning June 28th at 11:30 AM. Security has been notified. The bike is probably 10 years old, but still in great condition.

Working late, came out bike was gone but U-lock was still there. Bought bike the day before, bike shop people taught me how to lock bike tire to frame to back bike tire to bike rack. Bike was gone and U-lock was still there. Whoever did it knew what they were doing. This is a brand new custom bike, that I had saved up for. Not expensive, but expensive for me-- $400. I don't have a picture of the actual bike since I only had it for a day-- but I do have the 3d rendering of what i had custom bought. There is insurance on this bike, only because the people at the bike shop told me to buy it-- they must have known my bike was too flashy? Please help me find my new bike! :( I had locked it there at 8:30AM and then came back for it at lunch. It was then locked from 1:30-8:30 PM when I came out it was not there. but like i said the lock was.

I was working out at the FFC at 1030 North Clark Street. I went in at 5:15 AM and came out at 6:10 AM to find my bike stolen. This is the second time I've had my bike stolen from this location.

Bike stolen from bike rack on north side of UIC college of pharmacy at 833 S Wood St. Locked to bike rack at approximately 11am and both bike and lock missing when I returned at 6:30pm

Sunday I intercepted a scavenger walking around Webster and Southport. He had a bicycle on top of his shopping cart. He claimed he found it in a dumpster. I would like to get it to its rightful owner. Please contact me if you think this is your bike. Stuart Burstein

My bike was locked on a quiet, residential street in front of a residence. It seemed to be specifically targeted as there was a Cannondale bike, which was slightly scratched up, next to it and was left untouched. A neighbor said they heard an unusual noise around 4:30A or 5:00A which he described as sounding like lugnuts being removed from a tire.

Not sure what time it was taken from locked storage room. Last ridden Thursday evening. Friday left for wedding in champaign. Came back sunday evening and it was gone. Roommate said helmet was there with no bike. Saw that earlier in the day.

Someone broke into the foyer of our condo building and stole it.
