Bike in good condition. CatEye computer located on handle bars with magnet on front wheel. Front light mount and rear light mount (lights were not on bike at the time of theft). Teal/aqua/seafoam colored Fitik leather handle bar tape (recently added). Gatorskin tires, front tire is thinner than the back tire. Grey seat, two small holes in it, one at the very tip, and another beginning on top where the seam is. Paint was scratched/worn on the right hand side close to handle bar due to how it was regularly locked. Pedals are clip pedals that fit the bike shoe I currently have still. Aluminum frame, Alloy wheels, bontrager carbon fiber fork, Shimano drive train, bontrager components, SRAM 8 speed cassette.

Incident Description: 
3 bikes were locked together. 1 with a u-lock attached to the frame and bike rack. 2 of the bikes were locked with a cable lock around the bike rack and other bike. The cable was cut and both bikes were stolen. Upon arrival to pick up bikes from location, another bike was resting on the 3rd (not stolen) bike. The lock was not being used. I suspect either the owner of that bike stole the two bikes, or the people who stole my bike were taking that one and saw ours so left the other bike (old and in terrible condition)

The bike was last seen inside my apartment around 7 pm. The next morning I went outside my back door to my enclosed porch (that is also locked) and noticed it wasn't there. It happened sometime between 7 pm Saturday and 12:30 am Sunday. My neighbors said when they returned home 12:30 am Sunday they noticed the back door was wide open, which tells me it was taken before then. Our lock may have been popped open or the door was left wide open but no damage to the dead bolt lock so one of those 2 scenarios is all I can think of. Seeing a wide open back door from the alley is inviting so it's likely this may have been the case and the thief decided to go up to the second level of the porch and located my more expensive bike then. Another bike was not stolen, and it was on the stairs leading up to the second level. Police report number pending.

The theft would have had to climb a ~10ft *locked* gate in order to access the bike, or would have had to gain entry via someone that lives within the apartment complex. My bike was locked to a second bike with both a U-Lock (frame to frame) and a cord (through the rear wheel). The second bike was secured with a U-Lock and cord to a thick metal pipe on the outside of the apartment complex.

Friends and I had all ridden to a movie in the park, came home and all locked up to iron fence in front of my apartment together - four bikes total locked up in very close proximity to each other (one even above mine) We all hung out on stoop till late evening/early morning hours - likely about 2:30m. Downstairs neighbor was up until about 4am with windows open, in her front room (5 feet from fence/bikes) and didn't hear anything - either wildly quiet/proficient thieves or this happened after 4am. Mine was the only bike stolen, suspect it's because mine was the flashiest in appearance.
