Walked out of my apartment complex and a person who was waiting to be seated at a local restaurant approached me and said that someone stole my bike 5min before I walked out of my building. I was told by witnesses that the thief approached my bike, took wire cutters out of their bag and snipped my lock. A guy tried to chase the thief but he got away. The thief was an older Caucasian male (40-45yrs) with short light hair and glasses.

I called and filed a police report as soon as I discovered it was gone, and went to the performance bicycle at Diversey and Halsted and reported it stolen. I called several pawn shops, but none answered their phones.
