Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I am doing an internship at the Merchandise Mart. I went to work on Monday and during the day it was somehow stolen; bike, helmet, and lock. I came out at 5:00 pm and there was no sign of my bike anywhere. I asked the security guard if she notice anyone at the bike rack since there was only three bikes out there and she had no idea what I was talking about.

Bike was locked to a bike rack by the Metra Ravenswood station, Ravenswood and Leland.

when i left work to get my bike, it was gone. there are people who hang out on this corner all day long. hard to believe that no one saw anything. if you did see something or see my bike anywhere, please contact me.

It was stormy so there probably wasn't anyone out to see it happen.

The bike was locked to a fence in a very secluded area between my apartment and garage that is also fenced in. It was also under a tarp with my girlfriend's scooter and her bike. They left her bike minus the front wheel (which they put on my bike). That has to of happen with in the last two days from Saturday May 8th, 2010.

I locked my bike to a bike rack on the Congress side of the Auditorium Theatre building at around 3pm. I used a kryptonite U lock with a flat key and a cable lock going through both wheels and the frame. When I got out of the building around 7pm everything was gone. My only guess is that since there are a lot of giant pillar type things on the side of the building and nothing besides the auditorium theatre lobby on that side of the building, there weren't that many people around so someone somehow broke my lock and took the bike without drawing any suspicion.

At least one other bike was stolen at the same time from the same place, and the other owner and I filed reports with the U of C police at the same time.

A bystander saw three individuals looking at my bike. Two acted as lookouts while the third retrieved bike. Police were called and alerted but did not respond.The bike was put into the back of a Kia Sport. I was gone for approximately 1 hour. If any one has any information I would greatly appreciate it.

The bike was locked up to the wooden railing of my porch stairs and the lock was poorly cut with lock cutters. The bike has golden matte finish and the front disc brake is a newer version of Hayes MX4 and is painted red on the inner and border of disc. Please notify me if found! Thanks!

Forceable entry into a locked garage.

My bike was locked with a cable and pad lock in the bike storage room of my apartment building. This week I discovered it missing and found my bike lock on the floor. The cable appeared to have been cut with a saw and a pair of wire cutters. I believe some low lifes entered the building with an unassuming group of people, stole my bike and rode it out the back door.

Bike was stolen between 7:30pm and 9:30pm.

Bike was stolen with lock still attached to rear wheel.

My bike was stolen between April 21-25 while I was out of town. It was locked to the bar of a bike rack, which I later noticed had been pulled apart to access my bike. I appreciate any information that would lead to my recover of my bike.

I locked my bike up to a street sign in the early afternoon. I left my house around 2pm and forgot I had it outside. I called my roommate to have her bring it in at about 6pm and it was not where I had locked it. when I got back in town I went to the location and found my U-lock cut off laying next to another bike that has been locked up to the same location for 8 months!

Bike was kept at ground level in an enclosed porch with doors that locked. someone else in the building left one of the doors unlocked and the bike was taken.

i locked the bike outside on a busy side walk by the EL to a bike post at about 6pm, went into a shoe store for about ten minutes.. i returned outside at 6:10ish and the bike was gone. someone cut the cable and some how opened my U-LOCK. they took the bike and left both locks as well as another bike of lesser value that was locked with mine.

My bike was locked in the basement and my neighbor's renter was moving out. There was no reason for her or her movers to be on the side of the basement where my bike was, but by the end of the day my bike and several others were gone.
