Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was taken from side passageway of apartment building. Bike was locked to metal fencing via cable lock through front tire, broken lock was missing from scene. Theft occurred between 2 p.m. of 7/16/2020 and 9 a.m. of 7/17/2020.

Bike was locked with a Ulock around 7:45pm in front of 375 W Erie Street, bike and lock were missing from bike rack when I returned around 10pm.

The u lock was sawed off in my locked storage room.

Garage was broken into and bike stolen between midnight and 10am

Bike was locked to a bike rack in an alcove in an apartment lobby. The front wheel was removed and the bike was taken by weaving the rest of the bike out of the lock.

Bike was stolen from a locked building in the basement. There is one other couple in the building with access, but I trust them and do not believe it was them.

My 10 year old Men's AVENUE road bike with Internal gear hub and distinctive Mars Red colored was stolen from the bike rack attached to my vehicle at 635 W. Grace street between Appx. 2AM and 5AM 7/13/20 A security camera at 3750 Lake shore Drive, on Grace street may have captured footage. Police report was filed within an hour after theft.

The garage door was open for about 30 minutes while we did yard work so that we could easily throw yard waste into the trash cans in alley. My bike was leaning against the garage wall near the front of the garage. We closed the garage door after the yard work. Later that day, I realized the bike was gone. They had taken the helmet off the handlebars and left it on the floor of the garage. They also left my husband's bike. I believe someone walked by and rode it away.

Was at my fiancee’s residence at state and 8th st in south loop locked up my bike around 2:30 pm and came back out around 6:30 pm and it was gone.

The bike was in a locked cage, inside my locked garage. The thieves used a crowbar to get into the garage, and broke the lock to the cage wherein my bike was located.

I parked and locked the bike to one of the bike racks outside the Lincoln Park Zoo Farm entrance. Went to the farmers market and spent some time in the park that afternoon. When I returned the bike was missing.

bike was locked outside my apartment, i heard a strange noise looked outside and saw what appeared to be a delivery person out front on his bike so did not think much of it then about 5-10 minutes later i heard the same noise again and looked outside and saw him riding off with my bike.

I left my bike outside of work at St Mary’s hospital. It as locked to a bike rack outside the main entrance. I used a chain lock through the frame and to the rack. I used a cable through the back tires and one through the front tires and frame and locked those with a ULock. I’m guess they cut the locks. There was no trace of the bike or locks when I got out of work.

The thieves have broken into the garage of our building and looted all the new bicycles that were fixed to the wall rack by cutting the steel cables of the racks.

It is not known if the bike was locked to the rack. The exact date of loss is not known. It was most likely an imported bike used by the owner for numerous years and purchased because of it's old style design which emulated traditional transport bikes of the EU. The thief accessed a locked room and left behind over 15 other bikes many of which were faster and more valuable. The photo is a similar bike, not the actual bike. It probably did have a city sticker though the sticker number isn't known. The contact email is her son's email.

Someone ripped the street sign out of the ground and mustve unthreded it from the U-lock and took the bike.

We have a locked front door that is accessible through code. Sometime between 10am-5pm two bikes, mine and another residents were stolen as well as my air pump. There did not appear to be forced entry so I suspect they guessed our code.There are only 4 residents, all owners, and none of us have had any guests due to Covid, so I don't think it is someone we know. You have to get through two doors, one locked, one not, and the bikes are parked near the stairs in our building.
