Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked to bike rack in front of Columbia Yacht Club front door. I locked it at 2:30pm on Thursday May 16 and went inside club. Came out of club at 3:30pm and bike was gone. Club has video footage showing two men riding across bridge to club, then riding back out and one of them was on my bicycle. It took them 5 mins in broad daylight with people everywhere. They left one of the bikes they rode in on unlocked and against the rack where mine had been. Bike was a women's xs frame - customized for fit and function- a man would have looked funny on it.

The bike was locked in the court yard of my friends apartment with only a cable lock. I saw it last at 730pm and notices it was gone at 9pm. Nothing was left at the scene

Bike had been temporarily placed on a third floor back balcony after having been in storage for 2 years. Not readily visible from alleyway behind building.

My bike lock was cut and the bike was stolen while I was working out at Xsport Gym on Logan blvd.

My bike was locked to the street sign in front of my apt building. My roommate had used the bike and was unsure whether she locked just the frame or the frame and front wheel.

I was told by a person sitting at the bus stop that a "skinny white dude" had been trying to unlock the bike for a few minutes. Said skinny white dude then took the bike and rode off with it.

I lock my bike up at 515 N State Building, on the back of the building on the corner of Grand and Wabash. It was locked among many other bikes. I was the only one left there with a cable lock, so they probably cut it and took it with them. :(

I had it locked with a u-lock through the front wheel onto a metal post and my other bike (which was also vandalized). Just bought the silver bike this week and didn't realize it had a front wheel that could be detachable. The person who took it removed the frame from the front wheel and left the wheel with lock attached to the fence. Also, they took my seat from my other bike.

The bicycle had been parked in front of my house, chained with a Bell cable and padlock to the black fence next door for about two weeks. Over night, someone broke the lock and walked off with the bike. The lock is also gone. We've already talked to the neighbor who's fence it is, and they don't know anything.

My bike was left in my Element. They smashed a side window and broke into my Element and stole my bike. Although the bike may have been damaged slghtly, because they pulled the bike through the front seat out the front door, damaging my car significantly. The roof and seats were damaged as well as the window they smashed. I don't know why they didn't open the rear hatch or side rear door. They also stole an air pump and Northface backpack.

I locked my bike to the small fence outside of the AMC movie theater on Illinois street. It was on the street side of the fence right where all of the taxis wait to pick people up. I got there at six and went to see a movie. When I cam back the back and lock were gone. The picture below is not my actual bike but it is the same model. The letters are a little bigger and there is a bolder black outline. I didn't file a police report becuase I do not have the serial number.

I left my bike outside in the alley right beside the apartment building door intending to come back within 2 minutes. I came back 5 hours later and it was gone.

It must of been stolen in the middle of the night. Had damage to front yard where they must have walked it out the front gate. The bike was next to another locked Bike that was not stolen.

I found out my bike was missing on the morning of May 9.

Someone stole the bike and left their old bike in place unlockedn

Biked to work and locked my bike near east side of 181 Madison building. Left work and it was gone. Bike in the photo is not an exact match, please see description above. Photo is similar bike minus, tri-bars, red water holders, wheel set etc. Same frame

Bike was stolen from inside the basement of my apartment building. Bike lights were stolen 1.5 weeks prior. Found my bike missing yesterday. Door to the basement was broken.

Biked locked outside 30 n lasalle for work day. Multiple other bikes near by. Two cable locks cut and left on scene.
