This is a bright green Globe Roll 1. The stem has been replaced with a Origin handle bar stem. The handle bars have been replaced with Origin black bullhorns. The handlebars have foam grips, very unique, only could find them at Village Cyclery. The brakes are the type that fit in the end of the bicycle bar handle. It has one Continental tire and one Gatorskin tire. The picture provided has gold Origin handle bars but those were replaced with black. It has a Lullabot sticker on the frame

Rear wheel has 18t Milwaukee cog and blue 16t White Industries freewheel. Bars were chopped Raceface downhill risers with blue Oury grips. Stem is 110cm Ritchey pro with an aluminum adapter for bars. Bike has single front Tektro caliper brake. Seatpost is an older Ritchey comp. Saddle is a black Fizik Arione. Black, hollow-spindle crankset is a SRAM courier w/external bottom bracket. Had black SKS raceblade fenders at time of theft. In short, it was an offwhite singlespeed bike with narrow black riser bars and blue wheels, may or may not still have green frame tape.

The bike has been kept in this enclosed storage room, behind a locked gate and locked door since August 2011. only taken out about twice a week for short trips.
Incident Description: 
I came home from work just before 4:00pm on Dec. 27 and noticed the bike was gone. The back door of our apartment was open and its window broken with a brick. Footprints in the snow show that the thief or thieves climbed around our rear fence, broke in and handed the bike over the wooden fence near the back door. The police were called and a report filed. The alley where the bike was taken is not a public area and thieves may be local to Logan Square.

My bike was peacefully waiting in our back yard of a condo building at Lunt and Wolcott, Chicago's North side, for the next triathlon season. My wife came back home Saturday morning to let me know that the bike was stolen from the bike rack at the bottom floor and the chain and lock were left on the floor. The heavy gauge chain was cut off and the criminal most likely rode my bike home to celebrate his Christmas with a new stolen gift. I am outraged, but I am sure I will find my bike, I am positive, please let me know guys if you see it.

Bicycle was in an upstairs hallway of our home being prepared for Christmas. Lock was installed all of 24 hours earlier. As it was in our home, the lock was not yet locked. At the time, we think that furnace repair people were working on our furnace and did not secure our door behind them when they went to their truck. Just enough time for an individual to pop in, look upstairs, and run / ride away.

We were out of town and we have no way of knowing the exact date and time of the theft. We returned to find the bike stolen. Our garage does not lock so we have no recourse for keeping the bikes safe, as there's nothing to lock them to. I'm sure someone just opened the garage and took it from the alley, as we never have the door open on our own.
