Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was in a secure garage along with several other bikes. At 1pm the garage was closed and secure, by 1:45pm the garage door had been opened and just the single bike was missing.

My bike was in my garage, when I walked outside the garage was open and the bike was gone. I didn't have it locked since it was in my garage but somehow the door opened and someone must have seen it and taken off with it since it was unlocked.

At the Chicago West SOS (DMV) I was locking my bike but became distracted by a phone call. I forgot my key in the lock and walked away. 30 minutes later the bike, lock, and keys were gone.

Bike was stolen on the SouthWest corner of Granville and Winthrop between 12 am and 6am on 9/10.

Bike chained to bike rack (through frame and front wheel) outside of the Museum of Contemporary Art across from Lurie Children's Hospital main entrance. Locked there with a kryptonite chain lock at 0710 on 9/9, noticed it gone at 2:50 pm that same day. Lock and bike are gone, my old helmet was left. Hospital cameras reported to not have been working during that time and there was no visual.

The bike was parked at Damen and Armitage, infront of the liquor store on that corner. I work directly across the street. I must have not locked it up properly - I was in a rush because I was running late to my job so I don't remember exactly how I locked it - I knew that I could see it from my window at work so I wasn't too worried. Although, a car was blocking my view for a portion of the afternoon which is when it must have happened. I was taking the garbage out around 4 or 5 when I noticed it had been stolen. I thought I had the U-lock locking the bike body to the bike rack but the U-lock was attached to the bike rack and the cable was cut. I'm really bummed. I would pay to get it back, if someone needed it that badly I wish I could have just given them money instead of having my bike taken.

Bike was locked to fence of my residence on the interior side of the courtyard. Locked for a few days since I last rode it, came out to notice it was gone on 9/9 at around 10Am.

Bike was stored in a locked storage area of my apartment building, no lock on actual bike. Seems that someone was able to get into the building and take it.

I saw my bike on Monday. I did not go out yesterday. It must have been taken sometime on Tuesday 9/8/20.

Garage broken into and bike stolen

Was in locked garage over weekend, last saw this morning before leaving for work. Came home and it was missing

Broke into garage and stolen off wall

I locked up my bike on a well fortified steel gate outside of a friends house. I estimate it was stolen around 8:30pm on 9/5/20. There was zero remnants of theft i.e. no cut lock, no debris. I can only assume true professionals stole my bike.

Went to Rocks Lakeview to have a quick bite. Locked both wheels and frame of bike to bike rack outside of the restaurant. The bike and lock were missing when I returned

It was stole out of the store room in the basement of the apartment. Stolen sometime between Saturday night and Monday morning

Bike inside garage, bike itself was unlocked. Stolen over Labor Day weekend.

White male wearing yellow tshirt, black pants, black boots, black helmet rode a different bike through townhome area, saw open garage; got off his bike, rested it against a trash can, entered garage and removed bike from elevated rack. Rode away, leaving original bike, Captured on Nest cam.

Stolen from my garage in Oak Park, sometime in the afternoon on Labor Day.

The bike was located inside of a private, 2 door, residential garage that is shared with 1 other tenant. Either the shared tenant left the door open or a key was obtained illegally. Someone entered over Labor Day weekend while I was out of town and stole the bike.
