Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike lives in laundry room, which is accessed via 2 locked doors/through a locked gate, but is used almost daily. Had a slow couple of days because of rain, and when I went down this morning to grab it, I found it missing. There are other bikes in the laundry room that were still there, but it was a new purchase (to replace my last stolen bike, lol) so it may have been the most appealing.

Went to look for bike Sunday June 28 and was gone from grace street towers. Likely was stolen between Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 28

Came out in the morning. Garage door was open, bike was gone.

I believe someone who lives in the building or maintenance stole the bike as they are the only people who would have access to a locked bike room.

Bike was taken from locked yard. We found the gate open, and the bike missing with the lock. Bike was locked with a brand new U lock and cable through frame and tire. I have had this bike exactly 31 days.

It is unknown exactly when the bike was stolen. The fact that is was stolen was realized on June 20, 2020 as it was no longer in the locked bike room in the building where I live and own a condo. And, the bike, my other bike and three locks were all missing/stolen as well.

Bike was stolen while I was present, robbery. On 6/28, victim reported that the bike was recovered.

Locked my bike to a wooden porch in my building in Logan square which I’ve done a million times before. It’s a safe yard. Neighbors were having a party and it disappeared.

Bike was sitting on side of residence unlocked, but hidden. Owner sits near window normally to monitor bike. Thieves waited for owner to leave temporarily.

Unclear when it was stolen - sometime in the past week. It was in a locked garage.

Incident happened within the week of 6/18-6/28

I parked my bike near the corner of S Wabash Ave and E 11th St at 10AM on Monday, June 22nd. When I came back to get it around 8PM my bike was not there, my lock had been cut and was lying on the ground. It was a brand new bike, I bought it from Dick's Sporting Goods last week.

My son called from McDonald's at 2707 N. Milwaukee (Logan Square) telling me that his bike (bought new 3 weeks prior) had been stolen. He had locked the frame and front wheel to the bike rack and said he was inside for less than 5 min but came out and it was gone.

The Bike and lock were both stolen from the Garage. The bike was U-locked to itself.

Bike was parked in private tenant only garage. Stolen sometime between Sun 6/21 10pm and Tuesday 6/23 5pm. Likely somebody entered via garage door after a resident exited.

My bike was locked to a bike rack on Wells outside of Merchandise Mart from 12:00pm to 4:00pm today 06/23/2020. The lock was left cut at the scene as well as the cable.

All I know is that I parked my bike in my backyard (secure backyard with two deadbolt entrances) on the night of Sunday the 21st and was informed this afternoon (June 23rd) that my bike as well as my roommates bike was missing from the backyard.
