Basic Bike Info
Bicycle Type:
Cruiser / Comfort Bike
Color:
Black/Grey
Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
It was in fairly good condition, some wear on the seat, the only really distinguishing feature that I remember is that I installed a schwinn drink holder to the frame, and tightened the screw just a bit to tight, so I slighlty broke the holder, not a noticeable amount, since it still held the drink, but if you looked up close you could see the cracks.

Incident Description:
I had it locked to the no parking/tow away zone sign next to the train station, since they would not allow me to take the bycicle home on the Metra train. Since I knew I would be around late on Tuesday, and I was under the impression that the road usually had people coming/going, as well as both CPD, and Metra police patrolling the area, that the bike would be safe. Apparently the criminal(s) were able to remove the screw that held the sign to its base, and lift it out, in order to get the bycicle without needing to spend the time cutting the lock right there. There was a camera nearby, but to my chagrin the security guard of the building let me know that I had locked my bike in one of the few spots the camera did not capture.
