Incident Description:
I don't usually like to leave my bike outside at night but it was my birthday and I came back late so I didnt get dropped off by my bike. Bike was locked to a street light on a corner with no parking so it was very well lit and highly visible. Bike was locked only with a small padlock and thin cable since I don't usually leave it outside overnight and it isn't a particularly nice bike. My best guess is that someone saw a shiny bike (I really liked this bike despite its low quality so the chrome was all polished and the frame waxed) and chopped the cable. I couldn't find the lock but it might have been tossed in one of the neighbors gardens.
Unique features of the bike would be the dual pivot calipers (japanese market long reach tektros...never seen another set here) and brown leather hand grips. Oh, and everything was pretty shiny at the time of theft
