Recovery Information
Recovery Notes:
On 6/16/2011, he owner writes: I posted my Volae recumbent theft date November 5th 2009 and recovered it May 5, 2011. In March of 2010 as the weather warmed up a photo and advertisement for my bike came up on Craigslist. I tried to trap the seller (not the thief) by posing as a buyer. I was too angry in my exchange of emails and I spooked him enough where he would not meet with me. In April of this year it came up on Craigslist again and I had a friend pose as the buyer. The seller wanted to meet at the Logan Square monument and I had a Chicago Police Department undercover tactical unit help with the sting on location.
