Basic Bike Info

Bicycle Type:
Road Bike
Size:
54 cm
Color:
Black
Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
Bike was in great shape. The gears were slipping a little, because it needs a tune up. I have a CatEye odometer attached to the front wheel and is mounted on the steering wheel. The actaul odomter is not on my bike, as i have removed it so it wouldn't get stolen. The mount is still attached to the bike. Also the front wheel is not the standard wheel for this model, as my original front wheel was stolen. There are "Pinhead" locks for the back tire and the seat. I can prove vin numbers for this. On the right side of the top bar, there are old racing numbers from my triathlons that I was not able to fully remove. I have bike clips instead of regular pedals.

Incident Description:
I arrived at this location around 6:45 on Sunday (09-12-10). I was at my friends' place in a high rise, so I wasn't able to view the bike, but I have visited them and locked my bike up there many times before. I left around 10:30 to bike home and my bike was gone. At first I thought I forgot where I parked it, but I very clearly remember where I parked it, as for some reason I had a funny feeling before I left it and I double checked to make sure I had locked it correctly. The bike lock was gone and I didn't see it anywhere in the vicinity so I assume someone either cut it and took it with them or was able to remove the lock and the bike from the bike rack (maybe its a fake rack or for some reason can be lifted from the cement. I have no real idea how it happened.
