The bike was a 2008 model, painted blue and white. It has a black rack over the back tire and a yellow bungee wrapped around it. It has a bike computer and a reflector light posted to the seatpost. The thief left his/her own bike by our garage and walked into our stairwell, behind a door, to steal my bike.

Incident Description:
My roommate took a bike in from the garage that he thought was mine. When i came home from out of town i realized that he had taken in a stranger's bike and that my bike--1200 dollars when new--was taken from inside our stairwell behind a closed door, unable to be seen from the street. Either the thief was keeping track of my bike, took it and left his, or he/she saw someone took their bike from leaning against our garage, came back to get it, and then instead of taking his own bike (in clear view) he took mine.
