Incident Description:
I arrived at work around 8:30 and locked my bike in it's usual place on wacker and monroe. I locked it as i always do through the front wheel and frame, attached to the bike rack. There was even another bike on the other side of the rack when i locked it which also remained untouched after mine had been stolen. I realized my bike was missing around 11:30 because i almost always check up on it around lunch time. I asked around to street vendors and building security but no one was able to help. The rack is directly in front of a sprint store which was open at the time, i asked them too but they weren't to helpful either. The lock and the bike were both taken. It had to have happend sometime between the hours i showed up and ate lunch. I assume it had to have been stolen during higher traffic which would have been right after i arrived. The bike was in plainview from both sides of wacker, the corner of monroe along with the sprint storefront and any pedestrians on the block. If it was lower traffic many people would have seen, though i'm sure some saw but didn't feel it necisary to stop whoever it was that stole my bike. The bike was brand new and i just put descent money into upgrading the pedals and fixing the tubes. I did a quick patch job on the back tube before i left for work that morning and i wouldn't be surprized if that back tire was low or completely flat when the bike was taken. Any clues as to where the bike is please let me know. Thanks.
