Incident Description:
Sometime around midnight someone stole the bike. The front and rear wheels were locked, along with the frame to a 15 ft high sign post. No evidence remains as to whether the lock was cut or picked. The criminals took the locks with them. Admin note-- upon request for clarification victim offered: "I usually use a U lock to lock the front wheel and frame to the pole that I am locking the bike to.
I also string a flexible 4 foot metal cable through the rear wheel and thread the ends through the u lock to prevent my rear wheel from getting stolen. I started doing this after I had my rear wheel stolen a few years back when I lived in Wicker Park."
Both the bike lock and cable were made by OnGuard.
