Incident Description: 
Bicycle was locked to another biycle and to a good sized tree. Bike frames were locked together with u-locks and a cable was used to secure the 4 wheels to the frames and tree. Owners parked the bikes at 12pm on the sidewalk on the east side of CHicago Ave in Evanston across from the South Evanston Purple Line Station. when they came back for the bikes around 2:15pm they were gone. No locks or cable at the scene and the tree was unharmed.

Recovery Information

Recovery Notes: 
Recovered on 9/1/2011 by victim at S. Side flea market widely known to be stolen bicycle fencing point. Victim had been alerted on two separate days by a man identifying himself as a flea market vendor and by another victim searching for his girlfriend's bike that his and his wife's bikes were there (they saw the listings on this registry). Awaiting further details.
