Incident Description:
(Note: the photo is what my seat looks like. It is not my actual saddle.)
My Brooks Saddle and Bianchi seat tube were stolen from my locked Bianchi Eros road bike. The bike was locked with Ulock & cable to a bike rack. Unfortunately, my bike seat was not locked. It did not have a quick-release seat tube! ;-(
Location: South end of the Equitable Bldg plaza near the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue sidewalk (directly next to tourist-filled Marilyn Monroe statue worshippers; across from Wrigley Bldg.).
The thief lifted the entire seat tube with Brooks B-17 honey-colored saddle attached. Left my helmet and bike.
I will keep an eye out for this on Craigslist.
