Less than 20 minutes
Incident Description:
Bike was left for a few minutes in courtyard. The lock on the courtyard gate must not have latched automatically like it usually does and someone came in and either rode the bike out with a flat, or rolled it away. This was in the afternoon. Bike is scratched up with a broken rear derailleur cable. I am posting this for my neighbor- he said it was his fault, but I still think whoever took it is a jerk. Will be checking a local "we pay cash for bikes" place nearby. Have a feeling the bike also may have been taken for scrap, although the courtyard is thoroughly fenced in and the bike wasn't too close to the iron gate.
