Incident Description:
Two bikes locked together (each to the other) in a private garage which opens to an alley. Bikes (Cannondale M400 and an Orange Lotus touring bike) were locked with two old style U locks with round keys, but not locked to any structure. I saw the bikes around 9:15 AM when I unlocked my daughters bike from them and she rode her bikes to school. Bikes noted missing around 4:45 same day when I went to store/lock daughter's bike after school. Garage door on the back of the building often gets left up by other tenants. Alley is just off Chicago and Damen and is frequented by many pickers. Two other bikes stolen from the same space. Suspect the space had been scouted. Bikes had to have been taken together - would not roll the way they were locked together.
