Incident Description:
Bike was locked on black Arch shaped bike rack 30 feet south of Renaldi's Pizza. I was having a late lunch inside - I came out and my bike was gone, there was a beat up Trek Mountain bike in its place I spoke to 2 Chicago PD Officers on bikes, they advised I file a report. I also hung around and a male approx 45 blond hair, thin, about 5'9" (gruffy looking) came up to the bike that was locked there, starting messing around with the bike. When he noticed I was watching him, he backed away very nervous and walked away. I have a picture of him, willing to share. Renaldi's did not see anything on their camera's. But gave the same description of the person they caught steeling a bike 2 years ago. They saw him 2 days ago riding an expensive bike, they do not believe he could afford a bike like that. Please contact me if you see this bike.
