Recovery Information
Recovery Notes:
On 9/29/2012, the victim writes: Crazy story: I get a call from [removed by admin] who apparently is friends with you guys. He explained to me that he saw my [CSBR] post about my bike being stolen and said it was at a flea market on the southside. Me and my friend go down there and see a guy attempting to sell my bike! I call the cops and we waited over an hour. We finally decided to take it in our own hands. I ask the guy for a test ride and he wouldn't let me. I jump on the bike anyway and ride off! My hearts beating and when I get to the exit the doors they are locked. At this point [friend] is in his car ready to go. I throw my bike over a 10 ft fence [friend] catches it,
throws it in his car. I jump the fence, rip my pants but get in the car successfully and ride off!
[Editorial note-- ongoing thanks to the friend of the bike community who helped this and other victims get their bikes back.]
