Recovery Information
Recovery Notes:
On 10/15/2012, the victim writes:
Hey,
I reported my bike stolen here: http://chicago.stolenbike.org/node/193609
I recovered it in parts at a used bike shop, three blocks away from my residence where the bike was stolen.
This shop is really shady and most of it's bike and parts inventory looks like it's stolen property. Was wondering if any one else in the area has reported recovering their bikes from a bike shop at 5600 N Western Ave? The place seems to be operating under many different names, and advertises on Craigslist and has multiple websites.

The police didn't seem to press any further on this place, even though they watched the guy return me the parts off my stolen bike.
I contacted my alderman to report the business, and would like to know if there are more cases with this very shady operation?
