Cream colored 58cm Surly Steamroller with green bar tape on down tube and canvas top tube pad reading "Defend Owen County". Wheels are electric blue Velocity Fusions with milled sidewalls. Rear wheel has 18t Milwaukee cog and blue 16t White Industries freewheel. Bars were chopped Raceface downhill risers with blue Oury grips. Stem is 110cm Ritchey pro with an aluminum adapter for bars. Bike has single front Tektro caliper brake. Seatpost is an older Ritchey comp. Saddle is a black Fizik Arione. Black, hollow-spindle crankset is a SRAM courier w/external bottom bracket. Had black SKS raceblade fenders at time of theft. In short, it was an offwhite singlespeed bike with narrow black riser bars and blue wheels, may or may not still have green frame tape.

Storage room.
How long was the bike locked in this location?: 
The bike has been kept in this enclosed storage room, behind a locked gate and locked door since August 2011. only taken out about twice a week for short trips.
Incident Description: 
I came home from work just before 4:00pm on Dec. 27 and noticed the bike was gone. The back door of our apartment was open and its window broken with a brick. Footprints in the snow show that the thief or thieves climbed around our rear fence, broke in and handed the bike over the wooden fence near the back door. The police were called and a report filed. The alley where the bike was taken is not a public area and thieves may be local to Logan Square.
