Incident Description:
I locked my bike up to one of the thick bars of a sidewalk trashcan outside of west fest yesterday at about 4 pm. It was on the west side of damen just north of the bust stop for Chicago ave (to catch the bus heading south). The store seemingly has a camera pointing in this general direction. I don't know if it would be of any use. Any advice? I had a kryptonite fuhgedaboutit (or however it is spelled) super thick lock. The area was extremely busy so it boggles my mind how it could have been stolen, unless I somehow did not lock it securely. Which would be surprising. I do remember jiggling the whole to bike to make sure it was secure. There were no loose pieces on the trash can. No evidence of anything having been cut or tampered with.
