This is a custom built bicycle by Haley Trikes in Philadelphia. It is a front loading cargo bike, built for holding books: and so the box opens to show shelves and a lockable compartment. It is a 3 speed, internal hub.
The BiblioTreka is a custom tricycle previously known as The Book Bike. It was custom designed by Haley Trikes with fold-out wood shelves to cycle books around Chicago. It is extremely heavy and cumbersome, and in fantastic shape. The bike itself is black and the box with the shelves is painted turquoise and white.

The bike was locked up inside a yard with an unlocked gate. It was last seen at 1AM. Sometime between 1AM and 8AM someone cut the lock and left the lock at the scene.
