Basic Bike Info

Bicycle Type:
Other (describe in detail below)
Size:
Maybe a 56? Fits me perfectly and I'm 5' 8"
Color:
Medium/Dark blue
Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
It is a 1985 Trek 620, a mid-80's racing/touring bike. I've posted a photo of a Trek 620 that is not mine, which has stock handlebars and not my Nitto Albatross bars, to give an idea of what it generally looks like. Bike in good condition with some small rusty nicks and scratches, especially on the top tube and around the tab shifters (which are on the frame), Nitto Albatross handle bars, cork grips and mostly Shimano components, cheapish brown seat, no fenders, two water bottle cages (one silver, one blue and severely bent), good nubby tires, black cable tubes. It's a really nice medium/dark blue with shimmery, silvery undertones.

Incident Description

Which type of area was your bike stolen from?:
Storage room.
How long was the bike locked in this location?:
it was not locked but had not been in the storage room for more than 6 hours
Incident Description:
My bike was (stupidly!) not locked but was in our building's laundry/bike storage room which is behind two locked doors and where no one seems to lock their bikes. I put it in the storage room after returning home from class and when I went to go get it in the morning it was gone. Apparently it was the only one of the many unlocked bikes stolen. I think somebody in the building or somebody who lives in the building's friend must have liked to looks of it and taken it as no other of the unlocked bikes seemed to be disturbed. I'm really bummed out-- I loved this bike and it was a present from my boyfriend who built it up for me.
