Thieves most likely had huge wire cutters, there was a mark where they had initially tried to cut the lock then a second where they had successfully cut it. most likely at 2 or 3 in the morning. Frame was worth 300 dollars at least so thieves may have known the value of the bike given there was a second bike (a Sole cruiser) that was worth 400 beside it that was not cut that also had a u lock.
