Incident Description:
The thief took a cinder block that was in the yard and smashed the wooden bannister where the bike was locked (newer u-lock w/flat key). I was not home, but my boyfriend heard a sound and went outside and saw the thief riding away down our alley. They did not steal our other bicycle which was only locked to itself nearby (a Trek Allant), so they knew the value of the Bianchi. They also left behind a bag of Flamin' hot Cheeto's and a nearly empty bottle of Colt 45.
The bike has a Planet Bike Brand rear rack, a Bontrager saddle, and a Knog Blinder 4 front light.
The Kryptonite Series 2 lock is most likely still attached to the bicycle.
