Incident Description
Which type of area was your bike stolen from?:
Porch or yard.
How long was the bike locked in this location?:
Unsure when it was stolen, but I locked it at 6:30 pm on Feb 23 and saw that it was gone at 9:15 on Feb 24. So it was locked for at most 15 hours.
Incident Description:
I locked the bike to the bike rack in the back yard of the apartment complex. The complex backyard itself is fenced and has a gate that is unlocked with a key that all the complex residents have. I locked the bike at 6:30 pm and went outside once at 9:00 pm, so the theft occurred between 9:00 pm and 9:15 am. When I came out at 9:15 am the bike was gone along with the lock, and there was no evidence of it at all. The gate door was propped open, but this is a usual occurrence because workers that store stuff in the apartment complex prop it open. There were multiple people around at the time, but I did not have time to talk to them.
