Incident Description:
I store my bike on a designated bike rack in the back of my building. Though this is a restricted access area (you need a key FOB to enter), the bike rack is in a corridor. A storefront under construction, the elevator, and back door all use this corridor, so there's a lot of traffic. I learned my bike was stolen when I looked for it on a sunny day and it was gone.
I assume it was taken by someone using the corridor--either a construction worker or someone who tailgated their way in the building. Tailgating is a huge problem at my apartment building.
