The main triangle was wrapped with chrome metal tape. The rest of the frame is red. It had a few dents from a long-ago theft attempt in the seat tube down by the pedals. There was a black rack on it, it had only one chainring and thus no front derailleur(sp?), short handlebars with black grips and nice continental ultrasport 1 1/8" tires on 27" wheels, with the back wheel a double-wall rim

a few hours, but it had been customarily left there for the past 6 months
Incident Description: 
The bicycle had been customarily left either unlocked or locked to itself and leaned up against the back porch of my building. It was not visible from the street or alley behind the building. someone must for some obscure reason have gone around the side of the building and noticed it unlocked. it was missing when I went to look for it in the morning.
