Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
27 speed cyclocross with road tires. Bike is about 3 years old and has had near daily use that entire time in one city or another, and the bike's condition largely reflects that - except I just had a brand new women's terry Cita X saddle bottom bracket, front brakes and rear cassette. Handlebars wrapped in black cork tape. Bike has a lot of fire-oriented stickers on it: the most prominent one on the top tube says "It was on fire when I got here" and another one on the downtube saying "Danger: playing with fire can be addictive"

Incident Description:
I had just finished a 3 hour workshop at Moksha when an acquaintence came in saying someone had stolen the back wheel off a bike parked outside while he was watching - that he tried to confront and intimidate the man into giving the bike back, but he didn't have a cell phone and didn't know what to do. I looked outside and realized my bike had been completely stolen, and another bike on the same rack had had its rear wheel stolen (I was unable to locate the owner of the other bike). The wheel thief is a 5'10 African-American man with dreadlocks, carrying the wheel and a plastic garbage bag. He was last seen heading southeast on Milwaukee Ave. I searched the surrounding area on foot as best I could, including an abandoned looking homeless camp-out area near where the interstate goes by.
