The bike was locked in front of the Merchandise Mart near the corner of Wells and Kenzie. The rear wheel was locked to the frame with a U-lock, and the front wheel was locked to the frame and the bike rack with a heavy-duty chain lock. This is a very busy area, so I am not sure how it was taken due to the heavy duty lock.

At the time it was stolen, it had a rusty horn (with a big black knob you squeeze), Shimano shifters, a California bicycle license underneath the main crossbar, a grey colorado milk crate attached to the back rack with blue and green climber's webbing, and the chain rings (front gears) were slightly rusty with the middle of the three significantly worn.
