Bike was in basement with numerous others. Back, outer door of two-family dwelling (access to basement steps once in) possibly left unlocked (?) as no sign of forced entry at door. Unsure of time, though most likely in early AM hours of 07/22. No other bikes removed from basement. Hit & run. Most valuable bike id'ed? Bike was not visible through basement windows, so thinking it was potentially neighborhood deviants or consistent passers by who'd seen me leaving/coming home with bike as I rode it daily to work in the Loop. I know, what a dummy for forgetting to lock it. Totally bummed. Thanks for reading & keeping an eye open. Peace.

I just moved in to a place on Drummond Pl in Lincoln Park and I had my bike on my second floor, street-facing balcony unlocked. I know if was there Sunday night and when I went to ride it Tuesday morning it was gone. There is a ledge below my balcony that someone must have jumped up on and climbed onto my porch to take the bike sometime between Sunday night, July 29th and Tuesday morning, July 21st.

Bicycle was locked in front of 845 W. Wilson in Uptown. When I came out it was gone, not even the lock remained. On 6-16-16, the CSBR received the following email from the (former) victim: Thank you! Because of help from Find Stolen Bikes! I recovered my Trek 2300, stolen in Uptown 10 months ago. The short version: someone posted my bike for sale on Facebook, gave a serial number, and several individuals reached out to let me know. I contacted police (not expecting much help); however, a detective got back to me the same day, contacted the seller, and retrieved the bike. They weren't able to get much info about who may have initially stolen it, but I got my bike back and am grateful.

North Water Street for an hour between 4:00 and 5:00. I walked past it during my dog walk and it was there and totally intact but when I left the dog's home to ride it, it was gone.
