I arrived at the home that I am house sitting, placed my bike on the back side of the house to get their dog, with the intention of only leaving it for less than 5 mins. Moments later, while inside I heard loud talking and I thought "thats weird no TVs are on." Got the dog, went back outside and it was gone. The voices I heard were the thieves. It is a very secluded home and my bike was not visible from the street- which means they must have been watching me? Even worse.

I had just brought it into the city 2 weeks prior on the evening of 8/3. Went to use it on 8/17 and it was gone, so it was stolen sometime in that 2 week period.

Bike had just been in a crash earlier on the day it was stolen. I needed to lock it up over night in order to take a taxi to go seek medical attention. The bike was not walkable or rideable, as the front tire had sustained damage and was very out of true. When I returned the next day around 11 am to pick up my bike, I discovered that sometime overnight the lock was cut and the bike stolen.

I had taken my bike down my front steps of my place and walked back into my place (<5 feet away) to grab my helmet, when the thief grabbed my bike and took off on it. The bike is a month old- a Public C7. The bike is cream and has a cream rack w/ a silver foldable basket attached to the left side of the rack. In the attached picture the rack/basket has not been added to the bike as of yet.
