Just bought a brand new fixed gear bike(walmart - Thruster 700c fixie bike) and this was my first time riding my bike into work at the CBOE building on Van Buren and Lasalle. Parked the bike at 7am. Went back out at about 9:30am to check in on it and the bike was still there. At the end of the work day at 5pm the bike(and lock) was completely gone. Dozens of bikes are in this area...but they took mine. I think they were able to figure out the combination to the bike lock. Next time I'm getting U Lock with a flat key. And a huge guard dog.

Outside of 909 S. Wolcott Building of College of Medicine at UIC. My bike was amongst other bikes, and I was standing only approximately 30 feet away. I glanced over after about 30 minutes to notice my white seat missing, only to find my cut lock. A report was filed with UIC police. The bike is very special to me because it was put together by my brother and custom painted.

Rode Bike to CTA Fullerton red line station, arriving at 7:45 am approx. Walked in, was asked by CTA personnel if I was "tying up" bike. Said yes, and proceeded to bike rack on behind turnstiles to right inside station. Using a Bulldog integrated lock cable, fed cable thru front tire and rack to top frame bar and seat. Went to work at Jardine Water Plant, next door to Navy Pier. Arrived back at station around 6:30 pm. Bike and like cable not present. Searched station to see if relocated. Proceeded to CTA personnel to report bike stolen.
