The only thing not over the top were the DT Swiss wheels I had on it that day. Taken from the Millenium Park bike station (which is generally very safe) by an African-American male, 5'10" - 6'0" in height, maybe 200 pounds, green winter coat and hat (caught on video surveillance tape).

Video surveillance shows the thief hanging out in the bike station atrium acting like he was working on a problem with his bike, he then exits off the camera shot and presumably cuts the lock on my bike and lifts it over the railing and out the door. He leaves his crappy messenger bike (which he might also have stolen) near the door. Image shown is not my bike, but a photo of a similar bike.

The bike was locked to a single loop bike rack in downtown. I went inside my gym, and when I came out, the cut cable was laying on the ground, and the bike was gone. There were security guards on duty at the gym and the Canadian consulate but, of course, no one saw anything. This was close to sunset, and in heavily trafficked area, and my bike was the only bike on that bike loop. It must have been an obvious crime, that I would expect someone to have seen... ??

The lock was under the snow, which started sometime this morning, so I assume it was stolen sometime during the night.

By the time I went to go get it and bring it in the storage unit it was gone. It is brand new, just got all the bells and whistles and once over, he has ridden it twice and already gone.
