My husband and I live in a single-family home with a detached garage in the West Town/Logan Square area. We rode our bikes to grab food after a concert and returned home a little after midnight on Wednesday night (June 5th) /Thursday morning (June 6th). We parked the bikes in our garage, hit the garage door button, and went inside for the night. Unfortunately, we think something might have been in the way of the garage door, causing it to open back up after we went inside. Our neighbors knocked on our door around 7:00PM on Thursday to inform us that our garage door had been open all day. Since we didn't go into the garage during the day on Thursday, we know it never closed when we got home Wednesday night. The only items missing were our Trek bikes. They were stolen sometime between 12:00AM - 7:00PM on Thursday, June 6th. (NOTE: We are filing a separate report here for my husband's bike).

It has a sticker on titled : New Trekking Star It has a carrier with a rear light and a head lamp- both powered by dynamo. It also has a heavy duty security chain locked onto the frame of the bike.

The bike was kept on a bike rack but not locked. The rack was inside a gated yard of our apartment building. Someone sneaked into the yard and stole the bike between 12pm-2pm. When I walked into the building, a person entered the yard behind me who I suspect did not belong to our building and might have stolen it, immediately after I kept the bike at 12:00 pm.

i parked my bike at the corner bike rack at 9.10am in front on 55 E Jackson Blvd, Starbucks. i work on the 11th floor of the same building. it was locked with one more bike in the same stand and other bikes on other racks. i came back down for lunch at 12.00 noon and the bike was gone with lock cut and left the scene. i reported to 911 and campus DePaul security. and got the theft in cctv. it happened between 11.05 to 11.14am.. attached is the picture of the guy on my bike. white male with red blue and white cap.
