Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was stolen from 3rd floor back deck sometime between 2am and 9am Sunday. Front and back gate were locked. Bike would not have been visible from back alley, so the thief probably came looking for whatever could be stolen and didn't target the biked specifically. Another unlocked bike was not taken.

It was locked up on the morning of May 5th and was stolen sometime between around 9 am and the next day. Most likely overnight or early morning.

Had my birthday party at the bar next door, and the next day, after I was all suited and ready to head off to work, I notice that my bike was no longer locked to the fence on our front porch.

Bike was locked outside of my apartment to the front gate around 1:00pm on Saturday, May 3rd. I was in and out of the apartment running errands all day until returning to my apartment at 2:00am on Sunday, May 4th, the bike was still there locked to the gate. When leaving my apartment at 9:30am on Sunday, the gate was cut and the bike was gone. So the range of possible times of theft is from 2:00am-9:30am on Sunday, May 4th.

My son's bicycle was in front of our apartment on the 2nd floor with a common balcony. two suspects were seen about 14-15 years in age , very possible local, from the same area - one white wearing a light tone hooded shirt / jacket and another one dark skinned Hispanic who ran fast into the alley south of Grand Ave (Grand Ave and Julian - across the River Grove library)

Door to garage must not have been pulled completely to locked position. Door was wide open in morning and bike was gone.

Locked my bike at six outside of The Theatre School at DePaul, walked back to my dorm around 10 PM without it, and around 1:30 when I went to go retrieve it, it was gone like it was never there.

The bike was not locked to its frame. Therefore, the bike was stolen by removing the front wheel. So, bike is missing its front wheel.

Left bike locked through frame and tire to a bike rack outside of the clybourne metra train station on ashland, returned 12 hours later to find it missing with a suspicious person messing with my boyfriend's bike.

I parked it out front of a store at 4 PM, and last saw it through the shop window at around 6. When I left the store at 7:25, it was gone, along with the lock. The store security cameras may have footage of the thief, but they can't check them until a manager is in.

yesterday night it was locked in front of my building and today's morning it was gone.

Bike was locked to metal fence on parking lot of st. mary's hospital at 2222 west division(intersection with leavit). Very open area with good visibility and high traffic. Hospital cameras show thief standing by bike from 12:09-12:14 and some how opening lock. He then rode off west on Divison.

Sometime between ~11:00am and 8:00pm someone broke into the apartment and stole jewelry, computers, and this bike. This appears to be a typical thief looking to hawk the goods quickly for cash.

Bicycle saddle and seat post stolen outside the Kosciuszko Park Natatorium. Saddle was NOT locked.

Had my bike in the basement stair well of my girlfriend's apartment. Did not have it locked. Was stolen between 7pm and 10:30pm. Friend's bike was locked but had back wheel stolen at the same time.

I locked the bike up at 11:30 and went into Wrigleyville. I returned around 2:30 and the bike was gone along with the lock.

Just got home with some landscaping cargo. Emptied it and went inside for a few minutes with bike and trailer at curb in front of my home. Not my smartest move :( Five minutes later the bike was gone; I have evidence (discarded stuff from my milk crate carrier) that the thief went southbound (from Foster) down the alley that runs along Monticello and Central Park Ave. The bike and trailer and very distinctive-looking together, but the thief could easily detach the crate and trailer. I've never seen another one of these WIKE brand cargo trailers anywhere.

Bike was stolen from the locked basement of the apartment, only residents and landlords have key access to the basement.

I had an appointment on Tuesday, April 22 at 155 N. Wacker, but was late. So by 12:25p I had ridden downtown and locked my bike up. Because I was late, I wasn't paying full attention to where I locked it, but I'm 90% sure it was either outside of 7-11 on the corner of Franklin and Lake, or outside of CVS on the corner of Wells and Washington. When I went looking for it at about 3:45p, it was nowhere to be found. I proceeded to spend the next three hours systematically searching every nearby block corner for it, but did not succeed in finding it. Perhaps by some lapse of cognition I passed it by, but I believe I was thorough, especially when returning with my car.
