Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I left my bike outside of work at St Mary’s hospital. It as locked to a bike rack outside the main entrance. I used a chain lock through the frame and to the rack. I used a cable through the back tires and one through the front tires and frame and locked those with a ULock. I’m guess they cut the locks. There was no trace of the bike or locks when I got out of work.

The thieves have broken into the garage of our building and looted all the new bicycles that were fixed to the wall rack by cutting the steel cables of the racks.

It is not known if the bike was locked to the rack. The exact date of loss is not known. It was most likely an imported bike used by the owner for numerous years and purchased because of it's old style design which emulated traditional transport bikes of the EU. The thief accessed a locked room and left behind over 15 other bikes many of which were faster and more valuable. The photo is a similar bike, not the actual bike. It probably did have a city sticker though the sticker number isn't known. The contact email is her son's email.

Someone ripped the street sign out of the ground and mustve unthreded it from the U-lock and took the bike.

We have a locked front door that is accessible through code. Sometime between 10am-5pm two bikes, mine and another residents were stolen as well as my air pump. There did not appear to be forced entry so I suspect they guessed our code.There are only 4 residents, all owners, and none of us have had any guests due to Covid, so I don't think it is someone we know. You have to get through two doors, one locked, one not, and the bikes are parked near the stairs in our building.

Bike was stolen out of my garage. Their may have entered my back gate, which was unlocked and went in to my garage which was accidentally unlocked as well.

Between the hours of 7 pm on 6/7/2020 and 4 pm on 6/8/2020 a the bike was stolen from the laundry/storage room at 933 W Oakdale Ave. The bike was locked to the bike rack with a combination cable lock.

Bike was locked to bike rack. When I went to get the bike, only the front wheel and the lock were there. The lock was a fixed u-shape and wasn’t big enough to attach to frame, bike rack and front wheel.

I have a video of a culprit stealing three bikes in two nights. he broke into the front doors and went into the garage. he wheeled the bike out the front door.

My son’s bike was parked in the hall or our building’s stairwell. A guy broke into our front door and took the bike. I heard some noise and came out just in time to see the guy speeding around the corner on the bike.

I parked my bike at the Wellington Brown line station at the bike racks located across the street. I locked the bike frame and front wheel. The lock was cut through and left at the scene.

Bike was stolen from basement sometime on July 4th.

Last seen tied to my back porch last week. It was tied to the wooden poles. The back porch is connected to the gates parking lot for my apartment.

Bike was on back porch on second floor of building with dead-bolted, gated 7-8' fenced yard. Stolen sometime between 4PM on July 4th and 10:15AM on July 5th.

I keep my bike locked in the front of my building but have been unable to exit out the front due to construction on stairs so unfortunately the bike was stolen some time between 6/22-7/3 before I noticed.

It was taken around 1936 N Clark St, Chicago, IL sometime between Noon and 8PM on July 4. I noticed it was missing around 8 PM.

I left it out in my gated back yard, under the stairs, semi-concealed, so that the rain would get it wet so that I could be a good owner and wash it for the first time this year! :(

Bike was parked in Lincoln Park (1935 N Lincoln Park W) and locked to a bike rack through the frame and front wheel at 12pm while I was at work. At 10:30pm when I left work it was gone.
