Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

My bike was U-locked to by back porch on the first floor, inside my back yard which is also fenced in and locked. Someone came in through an alley, broke off the wooden post and took my bike. It was sometime at night between Friday Nov 30 and Saturday Dec 1. I can't find a picture of my bike, but I uploaded the model from the site. Most distinguishing feature is that my seat is lime green.

I locked the bike up with a U-lock at the corner of California and Roscoe in order to go to a friends house show. I left the bike locked up from 8pm-12a. The pole it was locked to was removed from the ground.

As mentioned above I lock my bike to itself in my garage. At approximately 1300 today, my neighbor pulled her car out of the garage. At that time, the bike was definitely there. When she left, she thought she closed the garage, but when my other neighbor returned home at 1730, the garage door was open and the bike was gone. No one was around between those times, and as of now no one witnessed the bike being stolen.

After a swim at Kosciuszko pool came out and bike was gone along with lock.

Bike was locked to the bike racks near the South entrance to the Howard L stop.

The bike was locked to a black metal fence. The fence was broken, the bike was removed. Bike is nearly identical to attached image, but the pedals and crank are now black.

The bike was stolen some time the week of Thanksgiving, while I was out of town. The frame of the bike was locked to a metal fence with a heavy duty bicycle security chain, and when we returned from the holiday, we saw the fence had been clipped and the bike was gone. The back wheel of the bike is also locked, so the thief would not have been able to ride away with the bike. It's quite large, so this means they most likely put it in the back of a truck or van.

The fence in the alley next to my apartment got cut, my lock is missing. Disappeared some time when I was away for Thanksgiving, from the 21-26th.

bike was stored in shared basement. two other tenants have key to basement door. door is sometimes not closed correctly. the previously mentioned tenants often have parties and i suspect a guest of theirs could have slipped away and entered the basement when others weren't paying attention.

The bicycle was locked in my garage and was confirmed there around noon Saturday. At 3:30 pm, a neighbor knocked on our door to report our garage door was open. We saw the bicycle was missing at that time, although five other bikes (not locked) were still there. No other neighbors have reported stolen items.

Have a video of guy in white and blue parka riding his bike in alley and EXCHANGING it for our nicer bike in garage and riding off...... Hope he does not wear the parka again while crossi.g streets.... Karma is a bitch so times.

Daughter left the bike unlocked in the back yard, visible from the alley. Someone couldn't resist and just took it. Or it was a planned act for Thanksgiving, scanning the alleys for useful stuff while everybody else is busy.

I entered the bike storage unit in my apartment building. The room itself is kept locked and is inside the locked back area of the apartment building as well. My bike and lock were missing from the bike rack. I have not ridden it or been in the room in at least a month so although I found out today, the incident may have taken place quite a while ago. The person who stole the bike would have had to have access to the outside door to the back area of my apartment building in addition to the basement door that leads into the bike storage room. Alternatively, someone could have entered through the front of the apartment building through two doors which should be locked as well. The lock and bike are both missing but I would guess that the lock would need to be cut as it was a combination lock. Other bikes, both locked and unlocked, are still in the storage room as well as outside in the back of our apartment building.

When I came back from a friend's house I went to the back of the school where I lock my bike up to. The bike rack is always full at the start of the day but I left it there for 2 more hours afterschool to be a friend's house. The bike rack isn't within a camera's view or under any type of light so it was pitch black, and that goes for all of the bike racks. When I got there I saw that there was only one bike there but it wasn't mine. Multiple bike locks were hanging from the rack but mine wasn't there along with the bike. I started looking around for the bike but I couldn't find it.

Two African American males in hard hats and leather jacket sawed off lock at 860 w Blackhawk ave. Seen by witnesses in building across the street.

The bike was last seen around Logan Square near California and Milwaukee
